Softball Recap: Canterbury Crusaders vs. Bradenton Christian Panthers
Canterbury won the last time they faced Bradenton Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Crusaders came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 8-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.
Kaylah Berta made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenzie Tucker, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Cali Baust was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
