Baseball Recap: Wauwatosa West Takes a Loss

Wauwatosa West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 8-5 to the Wauwatosa East Red Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 on Tuesday.

Wauwatosa West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layne Guardiola, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Peter Neugent also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Wauwatosa West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Wauwatosa East, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13.

Coming up, Wauwatosa West will face off against Greendale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wauwatosa East, they will square off against Waukesha North at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
