After only two runs in their last contest, Hamilton made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lakota West on Monday. The Hamilton Big Blue had just enough and edged the Lakota West Firebirds out 10-9. That's more bragging rights for Hamilton, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clint Moak was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Moak was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Nick Brosius was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Cournell Bennett mccoy, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a double.

Hamilton's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lakota West: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
