Baseball Game Preview: Clinton-Massie Falcons vs. Roger Bacon Spartans

Clinton-Massie's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Legacy Christian Academy as they made off with a 12-0 victory. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.

Meanwhile, Roger Bacon entered their tilt with Cincinnati Country Day on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Nighthawks 9-0.

Collin Schulte looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Roger Bacon got a big performance out of Ben Powers, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Powers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyle Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games.
