Basketball Recap: Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks vs. St. Paul Indians
The Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against St. Paul by a score of 40-27 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Jayhawk Linn, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Bryton Spencer was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 14 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Johnson, who scored seven points along with seven assists.
Jayhawk Linn's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-10. As for St. Paul, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.
Jayhawk Linn will be playing at home against the Eagles on Monday. One thing working in Uniontown's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. As for St. Paul, they will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Oswego focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
