Softball Recap: Spring Hill Comes Up Short

Spring Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 17-1 to the Lincoln County Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Spring Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Forkum, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That RBI was Forkum's first of the season.

Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lincoln County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3-1.

Spring Hill will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Columbia Central at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Lincoln County, they will challenge Warren County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
