Softball Recap: Mishawaka Marian Comes Up Short

Mishawaka Marian was the 17-5 winner over Brandywine when they last played one another back in May of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights lost 13-7 to the Bobcats on Saturday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brynn Micinski and Halle Pedraza stepped up to the plate in a big way. Micinski went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Pedraza went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that Micinski has hit this season. Brooklynn Robichaud was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Mishawaka Marian's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Brandywine, they moved to 10-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Mishawaka Marian and Brandywine will both be playing Living Water Homeschool the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Marlins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bobcats will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
