Basketball Recap: Edinburgh Find Success

While Edinburgh has struggled on the road with three straight losses, that wasn't the case on Tuesday thanks to Kenna Streeval. The Edinburgh Lancers snuck past the New Washington Mustangs with a 41-37 win thanks in part to Streeval, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 16 points in addition to six assists and six steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Dodson, who posted three points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in November of 2023.

Edinburgh now has a winning record of 7-6. As for New Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edinburgh and Hauser will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Washington, they will head out to challenge Lanesville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
