Volleyball Recap: Angola Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Angola can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints on Saturday. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Maya Harris paced Angola's offense, picking up 28 kills. Harris got some help from Aspen Sutton and her 28 assists. Harris was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Angola's loss dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Angola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran on the 18th.
