Preview: Northwest Vikings vs. West Creek Coyote
Northwest is 10-0 against the Coyote since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northwest Vikings will head out on the road to take on the West Creek Coyote at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Northwest gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 50-29 margin over Kenwood.
Meanwhile, West Creek had to endure a 13-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Kenwood on Friday as West Creek made off with a 53-29 win. The victory was just what West Creek needed coming off of a 65-32 loss in their prior match.
The win got Northwest back to even at 11-11. As for West Creek, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10.
Northwest skirted past the Coyote 35-33 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
