Preview: Splendora Wildcats vs. Vidor Pirates
The Splendora Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vidor Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Splendora has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 25.
Last Friday, Splendora was beaten by Livingston 46-14.
Meanwhile, Vidor put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Hargrave as Vidor made off with a 49-28 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Vidor.
Splendora's defeat was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-8 Hargrave and 2-7 Livingston (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 40.8% over those games). As for Vidor, their win bumped their record up to 5-5.
Splendora was taken down by Vidor 34-7 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Will Splendora have more luck at home instead of on the road?
