Softball Recap: St. Helens Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, St. Helens rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Baker/Powder Valley Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

St. Helens pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Baker/Powder Valley, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Coming up, St. Helens will challenge Junction City on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. Baker/Powder Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
