Soccer Game Preview: Canon-McMillan vs. Peters Township

The Canon-McMillan Big Macs will head out on the road to challenge the Peters Township Indians at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Canon-McMillan will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Canon-McMillan needed a bit of extra time to put away South Fayette. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 2-1. Given Canon-McMillan's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 21st, while South Fayette are ranked 343rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Levi Good and Gavin Patterson scored both of Canon-McMillan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Peters Township was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Mt. Lebanon could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Canon-McMillan's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. Peters Township's draw makes their record 8-0-1 this season.
