Huntsville has gone a perfect 4-0 against Lawrence County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will take on the Red Devils in a tournament on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Huntsville's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They skirted past Sparkman 2-0.

Meanwhile, Lawrence County got the win against East Lawrence on Tuesday by a conclusive 8-2. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Bella Cross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Templeton, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyce LouAllen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lawrence County pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Huntsville, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8-1.

Everything went Huntsville's way against Lawrence County in their previous matchup back in April of 2019, as Huntsville made off with a 7-1 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
