Basketball Recap: Oaks' Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a good run, but Oaks unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 63-52 to the Trinity Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, the The Mighty Oaks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while the Eagles are ranked 142nd).

Oaks' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joey Allen, who posted 14 points. Kensley Henderson was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Oaks' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Trinity Christian, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Oaks has already played their next matchup (against Abbeville Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Trinity Christian and Lakeside School will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
