Softball Recap: Sevier County Finds Home Field Redemption Against Hampton

There's no place like home for Sevier County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the Hampton Bulldogs 12-2 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Smoky Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Riley Mae Burrell was a standout: she scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Heaven Quillen also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Sevier County picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Hampton, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Sevier County has already played their next game, a 16-15 win against Westmoreland on the 11th. As for Hampton, they will venture away from home to take on Elizabethton at 5:30 p.m. on March 18th.
