Vanguard Academy Rembrandt had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They came out on top against the IDEA Quest College Prep Trailblazers by a score of 55-45. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Trailblazers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 53-38 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vanguard Academy Rembrandt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gael Cortez, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Cortez has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Ryan Ruiz was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 17 boards.

Vanguard Academy Rembrandt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.
