Soccer Game Preview: Tri-County vs. Hayesville

The Tri-County Jaguars will square off against the Hayesville Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Tri-County and five for Hayesville.

Tri-County managed to keep up with Murphy until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Jaguars came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Tri-County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 481st, while Murphy are ranked 234th).

Meanwhile, Hayesville fell victim to Swain County and their airtight defense last Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Maroon Devils.

Hayesville's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Tri-County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Tri-County might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Hayesville when the teams last played back in March. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
