Basketball Recap: Quinter Wins Going Away Against Wallace County

On FridayWallace County kept up with Quinter until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Quinter Bulldogs blew past the Wallace County Wildcats 64-41. That 23 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Quinter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caedmon Bridges led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. What's more, Bridges also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shea S Salyers, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds.

Quinter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Quinter and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Wallace County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Quinter will be playing at home against Ness City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ness City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wallace County, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Decatur Community at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
