Basketball Recap: Dade Christian Takes a Loss

Dade Christian and Sagemont squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Dade Christian had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Sagemont Prep, falling 86-42. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Prep are ranked 13th).

When it comes to explaining why Dade Christian lost, don't look at Kosta Raicevic. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. That's the most points Raicevic has posted since back in December of 2024. Clorvens Celine was another key player, putting up six points.

Dade Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Sagemont, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-8.

Dade Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sagemont, they will challenge Atlantic Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sagemont's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.
