Basketball Recap: Mission Vista Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calexico, Mission Vista was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They secured a 57-53 W over the Escondido Charter Tigers. For Mission Vista, this counts as revenge for the 78-56 win Escondido Charter walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Escondido Charter's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Boldyn Rimmer, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 25 points. That was a full 47.2% of the Tigers' points, marking the fifth time in a row Rimmer has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Liam Ricciardi, who earned nine points along with six boards and five assists.

The victory got Mission Vista back to even at 4-4. As for Escondido Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
