Basketball Recap: Lake Catholic Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lake Catholic extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Aiden Webb. The Lake Catholic Cougars came out on top in a nail-biter against the University School Preppers on Saturday, sneaking past 68-65 thanks in part to Webb, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals. Those seven steals gave him a new career-high.

Lake Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for University School, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lake Catholic Cougars take on the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Lake Catholic likes a good challenge. As for University School, they will challenge Dover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
