Soccer Game Preview: Chatham Charter vs. Triangle Math & Science

The Chatham Charter Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Triangle Math & Science Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chatham Charter will be strutting in after a win while Triangle Math & Science will be coming in after a defeat.

Chatham Charter is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Central Carolina Academy on Monday as they made off with an 11-5 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Chatham Charter needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Emily Scheidt and Kaylee Root scored all 11 of Chatham Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 31 goals.

Meanwhile, Triangle Math & Science was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 6-1 to Northern Durham. That's two games in a row now that Triangle Math & Science have lost by exactly five goals.

The win snapped Chatham Charter's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-9 record. As for Triangle Math & Science, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything went Chatham Charter's way against Triangle Math & Science in their previous matchup back in March, as Chatham Charter made off with an 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
