JW North waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Vista del Lago Ravens. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 10th.

JW North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-8, 25-20, 25-12.

Aliyah Washington paced JW North's offense, picking up 11 kills. Washington got some help from Nylah Lopez and her 20 assists. Madelyn Thompson controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

JW North's victory bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Vista del Lago, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Coming up, JW North will venture away from home to face off against Moreno Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vista del Lago, they will welcome Citrus Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
