Softball Recap: Hope's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Falls, Hope was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights. The win was some much needed relief for the Blue Wave as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Hope's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Angeline Pardo, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs Pardo has posted since back in April of 2024.

Hope always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hope's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hope is set to challenge their familiar foe Times Squared Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Exeter-West Greenwich will take on rival Tiverton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
