Soccer Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Sylmar's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Sylmar won the last time they faced Reseda and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Sylmar Spartans won by a goal and slipped past the Reseda Regents 4-3. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Regents are ranked 442nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sylmar has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3-2 record this season. As for Reseda, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-4.

Sylmar will face off against Panorama at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sylmar's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Reseda, they will challenge San Fernando at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
