Baseball Game Preview: Horizon Hawks vs. Mead Mavericks

The Horizon Hawks will square off against the Mead Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Horizon came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-4 to Holy Family. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Horizon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Mead and Windsor meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Mavericks took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wizards.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Mead, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
