Baseball Recap: Hutto Takes a Loss

Hutto's last matchup with Vandegrift could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Hippos came up short against the Vipers, falling 10-4. The Hippos just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Hutto saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Garcia, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those hits marked the first that Garcia got this season.

Hutto's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Vandegrift, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

While Hutto had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
