Softball Recap: South Umpqua Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

South Umpqua's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Glide Wildcats a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won 14 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

South Umpqua pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Glide, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.

South Umpqua will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
