Basketball Recap: Milan Victorious

Trenton came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Milan, but Marian Dabney wouldn't allow it. The Milan Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 58-44 victory over the Trenton Bulldogs on Tuesday thanks in part to Dabney, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Jazmin Cisneros Garcia was another key player, putting up nine points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Milan's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Trenton, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Milan Wildcats face off against the Macon Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Milan is facing Macon at the right time seeing as Macon is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Trenton, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lathrop at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
