After a string of eight wins, Beaverton's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against the McNary Celtics, falling 12-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Beavers have suffered since March 22nd.

Beaverton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Riedel, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Beaverton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for McNary, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Coming up, Beaverton will square off against Mountainside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mavericks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Beavers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for McNary, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saxons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.08 runs per game on average), something the Celtics will no doubt try to take advantage of.
