Baseball Recap: Dupo Wins Going Away Against Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis

Dupo never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis Crusaders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Thinh Staggs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, Deegan Prater was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Cole Hearty was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Dupo now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Dupo will face off against Staunton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Westwood Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
