Given Benjamin Logan's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Northwestern is ranked 316th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Benjamin Logan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Georgia Bates, who scored 8 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. Bates is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Norvel, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds.
Benjamin Logan pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Northwestern, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Benjamin Logan will look to defend their home court on Monday against Kenton at 7:30 p.m. Kenton and Benjamin Logan are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Northwestern, they will head out on the road to face off against Jonathan Alder at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
