Football Recap: Jaedon Bell Key Part of Team Effort in Mohawks Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Baptist Hill, Bethune-Bowman was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Military Magnet Academy Eagles with a sharp 28-8 win. For the Mohawks, this counts as revenge for the 28-22 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethune-Bowman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaedon Bell, who threw for 170 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 32 yards. Those 32 rushing yards gave Bell a new career-high. Jahmiere Cryer was another key rusher, rushing for 125 yards on only ten carries.

Bethune-Bowman's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Military Magnet Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
