Basketball Recap: Noah Rupert's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cooper City over South Plantation

If Cooper City was feeling good fresh off their 93-56 takedown of South Broward last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cooper City Cowboys took a 62-47 bruising from the South Plantation Paladins on Wednesday. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Paladins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

Cooper City lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Rupert, who posted six points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Rupert is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. Jamier Johnston was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

South Plantation's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lathan Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Swaminsky Liberal, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points and five assists.

Cooper City now has a losing record at 4-5. As for South Plantation, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Cooper City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-66 victory against Fort Lauderdale on the 12th. As for South Plantation, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-38 win against Plantation on the 12th.
