Baseball Recap: Mountain Heritage Takes a Loss

Mountain Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mitchell Mountaineers. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Cason Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Caden Carrol was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Mountain Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Mitchell, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

While Mountain Heritage had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
