Basketball Game Preview: Cary Academy Chargers vs. Covenant Day Lions

The Cary Academy Chargers will head out to challenge the Covenant Day Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Cary Academy put up the most points they have all season on Tuesday. They breezed past Eastern Randolph to the tune of 82-42. The win was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Covenant Day, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 67-57 victory over Gaston Day on Tuesday.

Covenant Day's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Cary Academy, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.

Cary Academy lost to Covenant Day on the road by a decisive 59-41 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
