Baseball Preview: Provo Bulldogs vs. Payson Lions

For the second straight game, Provo will face off against Payson. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Provo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Gehrig Orchard made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Dawson Moore was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
