Recap: Franklin County Lions vs. Seneca Bobcats
The Franklin County Lions's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-35 victory over Seneca. The win was all the more spectacular given Franklin County's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 219th in Georgia, while Seneca is ranked 78th in South Carolina).
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Meg Nation, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Sluder, who scored 2 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Franklin County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Seneca, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Franklin County will be playing at home against Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seneca, they will head out on the road to face off against Palmetto at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Palmetto is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
