Softball Game Preview: Chaska Hawks vs. St. Louis Park Orioles

Chaska is on a six-game streak of home losses, and St. Louis Park a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Chaska Hawks will host the St. Louis Park Orioles at 4:30 p.m. Chaska will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Things were looking good for Chaska after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 13-8 to Minnetonka.

Laney Farm was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Ellie Scott was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, St. Louis Park fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against New Prague on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 8-7.

Rowan Jansen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Ella Tousignault, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Chaska's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for St. Louis Park, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
