Basketball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short

Grandview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 58-34 to the Vienna Eagles.

Vienna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Teagan James, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Zimmer, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Vienna, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Grandview will be taking part in a tournament against Liberty Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season. As for Vienna, they will take on St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K in a tournament on Tuesday. Vienna also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 56.6 points per game.
