Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lafayette can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the De Smet Jesuit Spartans on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lancers have suffered since April 22nd.

Lafayette was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-18.

Lafayette's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-8. As for De Smet Jesuit, the victory was the 23rd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-1.

As of now, neither Lafayette nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
