Volleyball Recap: Hastings Takes a Loss

Hastings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Elkhorn Antlers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Kaisley Tillemans paced Hastings' offense, picking up five kills. Tillemans got some help from Adaline Nelson and her ten assists. Finally, Alivia Lind kept Hastings' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Hastings' defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Elkhorn, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-10.

Hastings didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Blair on the 11th. As for Elkhorn, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Gretna on the 11th.
