Volleyball Recap: Meadow Heights Comes Up Short

Meadow Heights lost against Hillsboro back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meadow Heights wouldn't go down easily and took Hillsboro into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-13, 19-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Jaycee Shelton paced Meadow Heights' offense, picking up 16 kills. Shelton got some help from Maci Long and her 37 assists.

Meadow Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Hillsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5-4 record this season.

Meadow Heights will face off against Scott City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsboro, they will challenge Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
