Soccer Recap: Mt. Baker Comes Up Short

Mt. Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakewood Cougars. Mt. Baker were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lakewood apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Mt. Baker's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Lakewood, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mt. Baker is set to challenge their familiar foe Mount Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lakewood will take on rival Ferndale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
