Merritt Island waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They had just enough and edged out the Titusville Terriers 31-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted against the Terriers since October 14, 2016.

Leading Merritt Island to victory were Alain Adams and Kevin Verpaele. Adams rushed for 70 yards and two TDs, while Verpaele threw for 144 yards and one touchdown.

Merritt Island didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kamar Fielder and Ethan Holt. Holt is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.
