Basketball Game Preview: Union Yellowjackets vs. J.Z. George Jaguars

The Union Yellowjackets will head out to face off against the J.Z. George Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Union came up short against Sebastopol and fell 58-49.

Despite the defeat, Union got top-tier performance from Rymia Craft, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. Those 27 points gave Craft a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracyn Tillman, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, J.Z. George suffered their closest loss since December 28, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Philadelphia by a score of 35-32. The Jaguars have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

J.Z. George's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Union, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.

Union couldn't quite finish off J.Z. George in their previous matchup on January 14th and fell 38-36. Can Union avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
