Basketball Game Preview: Lee's Summit North Broncos vs. Raymore-Peculiar Panthers

Lee's Summit North and Raymore-Peculiar are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Lee's Summit North Broncos will be playing at home against the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee's Summit North will be strutting in after a win while Raymore-Peculiar will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Lee's Summit North didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Liberty North, but they still walked away with a 70-65 victory. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Eagles are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Raymore-Peculiar challenged Lee's Summit on Tuesday. Raymore-Peculiar took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lee's Summit. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lee's Summit North is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Raymore-Peculiar, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Lee's Summit North couldn't quite finish off Raymore-Peculiar when the teams last played back in December of 2021 and fell 41-39. Can Lee's Summit North avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
