Soccer Recap: South Cobb Takes a Loss

If South Cobb was riding high fresh off their 7-2 takedown of Lithia Springs last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The South Cobb Eagles came up short against the Marietta Blue Devils on Tuesday, falling 7-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Eagles were already down 5-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Heidi Rios, who's now up to five this season.

South Cobb's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Marietta, their record now sits at 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Cobb will head out to challenge Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chapel Hill will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something South Cobb surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marietta, they will venture away from home to square off against North Paulding at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
