Baseball Recap: Becker Drops Season-High Score on Cambridge-Isanti

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Becker). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets a 14-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Bluejackets: they've now won five in a row.

Isaac Guck was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Pietrowski, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Becker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Becker's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Cambridge-Isanti, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
